Our Fees

Fee increase from 1st November 2023

We try to maintain our fees at a reasonable rate. Individual doctors will set their own fees and can be discussed with the doctor.

Billing

Goldfield Medical Group is a private billing practice.

Fees are payable on the day of your appointment. Charges vary depending on the length of time you spend with the doctor and the complexity of your medical condition.

We cannot always predict how much time your consultation will take. If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, you can claim back some of the cost instantly at the time of your consultation.

Goldfields Medical Group patients who are under the age of 16 or are Concession Card Holders are eligible to be bulk billed. Some appointments may attract a fee.

We will bulk bill appointments that are for government-funded vaccines. This includes childhood scheduled immunisations, flu vaccines, whooping cough vaccines for parents and meningococcal and other catch-up programmes.

Procedures, travel and non-schedule vaccines and some consumables will incur an extra cost.  Please discuss the charges with your doctor beforehand.

We will revise our fees on an annual basis.  Any rises will be carefully considered, taking into account the costs of running a safe, high-quality service.

NON-ATTENDANCE FEE: A fee will be charged for failure to attend or cancellation at short notice (Please note: this fee is not medicare rebatable).

Medicare Rebates

Ways to get your medicare rebate:

Workcover

WorkCover applies to consultations about an injury that has occurred in the workplace.

TAC applies to consultations about injuries sustained in a road traffic accident. Medicare does not rebate these consultations.

Goldfields Medical Group  requires patients to pay in full for their WorkCover or TAC consultation. You can then seek reimbursement from the relevant insurance company or your employer. There will be an out of pocket cost.

The employer should reimburse the first $735 of a WorkCover claim.

The first $651 of a TAC claim must be met by the patient, unless you were admitted to hospital after the accident. You may receive a partial Medicare rebate for the services received.

Children under 16 and holders of Concession Cards are eligible to be bulk billed directly to Medicare.

Due to an increase in overheads and no increase in your Medicare rebate, the following fees will apply for private patients commencing 1st of November 2023.

Practice Fees

Practitioner Fees
