Services
MyMedicare
GPs at Goldfields Medical Group are participating in MyMedicare. The MyMedicare program strengthens the relationship between you, your GP and the team caring for your health. Benefits to you include proactive care, centred around what is important to you, and keeping you well. Funding for longer telehealth consultations can be accessed once you have registered.
We encourage you to register so you can access benefits as they become available, either in person at GMG or online at Register for MyMedicare.
Search for Lyttleton Street Medical Clinic to find us.
Medicare Express Plus
Signing up with MyMedicare can be done through the Medicare Express Plus app. A tutorial for installing and navigating the app can be found at this link.
Women's Health
At Goldfields Medical Group (GMG) we believe that women and people with a uterus have the right to access safe medical or surgical abortion services. We will continue to educate, support, and empower all people including women, girls and gender-diverse persons in making informed choices about their reproductive health.
There are registered prescribers of the medical process who can collaborate with regional surgical services as needed.
We’re proud to be listed with 1800 My Options, as a trusted provider of sexual and reproductive health services. We’re in good company too, with nearly 400 sexual and reproductive health services state-wide – including GPs, hospitals, sexual health clinics, radiology clinics, pharmacies and counsellors.
Search 1800myoptions.org.au for your closest provider.
We will continue to make sure all Victorians are able to achieve safe, trusted and non-judgemental sexual and reproductive health!
Total Body Photography and Mole Mapping
When was your last skin check?
Total Body Photography (also known as TBP or Full-Body Imaging) is the most effective technique for imaging all lesions on a patient’s body. We’re now providing this service at Goldfields Medical Group. TBP along with mole mapping is available now. If you are due for a skin check or have noticed recent skin changes, contact your doctor for an appointment.
Social Prescribing & Our Dancing Doctor
What is Social Prescribing?
Social Prescribing in simple terms is GPs and Nurses being able to directly refer people to local, non-clinical services for health, wellbeing and social support. Some more information: Social Prescribing – Castlemaine Community House
Through Goldfields Medical Group, we utilise the Get Connected program through the Mount Alexander Shire. If you’re interested in this program and are 25+, book an appointment with us to discuss a referral. Follow this link for more information.
